Brenna Hosang

Studio Owner/Instructor/ Romana Pilates Level 3 Trainer

Brenna, a former ODU soccer player, started Pilates in 2002, and nine months later, she decided to move to NYC to complete Romana's Pilates Certification Program. In just three months, she finished the program and a year later opened her studio in June of 2004.
Romana Kryzanowska, protégé of Joseph Pilates, appointed Brenna at 24 as a teacher trainer. “I was incredibly honored and felt such a great sense of responsibility and duty to continue sharing the work.” Additionally, Brenna double majored in Finance & Economics with a minor in Accounting at ODU, graduating Summa Cum Laude, which helps her manage the business side of running a Pilates studio.
In 2006 Brenna became a Level 4 Teacher Trainer, and in 2008 she was promoted to Level 3. Brenna is the only Level 3 International Romana’s Pilates teacher trainer in Virginia and the southeastern region.
She has helped train many instructors through their apprenticeship, including most of the local instructors and several in the neighboring region. Her mission is to continue to provide her clients and Romana’s Pilates instructors with the highest level of Pilates training in the regional area.
“Looking back on my journey with Pilates, I truly believe starting the practice so young probably prevented me from having more sports-related injuries.”
She enjoys traveling and cycling with her husband. Brenna also enjoys running with her three Vizslas - Vixon, Clover, and Rose to ensure the True Pilates Virginia Beach Mascots are tuckered out while she teaches at the studio.
